Julie Dee is Annifrid Lyngstad
Julie, from Sunderland, began her career on the North of England's club circuit over 20 years ago as a solo vocalist. Shen then went on to form her own live 5 piece band, The Connection, singing rock and soul. They successfully toured Europe and were voted "Band of the Year in 1995. Her career went in a different direction when she got to the finals of ITV'S "Stars In Their Eyes" performing as CHER and soon she had her own tribute to the TWO great ladies of music - CHER and TINA TURNER. This brought her to Spain in 1998 and the show was a hit amongst the holidaymakers of Benidorm and the Costas. Her unique impression of imitating Tina {not only vocally, but facially, with all Tina's mannerisms and the famous Tina Turner 'walk'!} soon made her a number one act in Benidorm. She sometimes still performs this one woman show but her real passion lies in ABBA . . . . . . .
SIMONE JADE is AGNETHA FALTSKOG
Simone Jade is the very talented and beautiful daughter of Julie Dee. Having been brought up in the business, she soon developed a passion for theatrical dance. From 2 years old, she was winning regional dance competitions and has an amazing collection of cups and medals! She found she had a natural flair for harmonies and by the age of seventeen, had joined her mother as a vocalist. Another natural mimic, she furthered her career by acting and has appeared in many television programmes, such as "Casualty", "Spender", and "Byker Grove" . She followed her mums footsteps by doing her 'apprenticeship' on the North East club circuit, appearing in the dynamic pop band "Rhythmn Nation". In 2001, on a visit to see her mum in Benidorm, she auditioned for a singing/dancing part at the very popular venue The Wheeltappers, for a show called "A Night To Remember". The next night she was on stage there! When their agent approached the girls and suggested doing an ABBA Tribute Show in Benidorm, they jumped at the chance to work together and ABBAFEVER was BJORN . . . . . . . .!!
Although ABBAFEVER's home is now in Benidorm, they still work in the UK from time to time and have recently appeared at The Hippodrome in London and corporate events, entertaining the crowds at London's Fashion Week and the Back To The 70's Week at Hammersmith. Their incredible passion for ABBA and all things 70's, coupled with the dazzling costumes and dance routines ensures a fantastic trip down memory lane for ALL enthusiastic music lovers!
